Karman Space & Defense in Corona, CA is seeking a CNC Programming Manager to lead a hands-on programming team, develop complex machining programs for three- and five-axis machines, and coordinate tooling, changeovers, and CAM integration. You will work with R&D and production planning to enhance efficiency and quality while maintaining a safe, compliant shop floor.

• Associate degree or equivalent in machine shop, metal fabrication, aerospace manufacturing, or related field.
• Five or more years of CNC machining-center experience in a job-shop production environment.
• Certification in CNC machining or five or more years of CNC machining experience.
• Proven supervisory experience in a factory or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with multi-axis machining, including four- and five-axis machining, sub-spindles, and lathe live tooling.
• Experience with tight-tolerance machining and GD&T.
• Proficiency in G-code and CAD/CAM programming software.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks and other CAM software.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and tools.

Responsabilidades

• Leads and manages the CNC programming team to meet production targets and safety standards.
• Develops programs for three-axis and five-axis CNC machines and turning equipment; verifies with Vericut.
• Oversees machining operations with mills, turning centers, Swiss lathes, and related tooling.
• Develops manual programs and transitions to CAM software (SolidWorks and CAM platforms).
• Collaborates with R&D and production planning to improve efficiency and flexibility.
• Manages tooling requirements, material handling, and inventory activities.
• Implements quality-control measures and verifies specifications with precision instruments.
• Coordinates training in equipment operation, safety procedures, quality standards, and processes.
• Conducts performance evaluations and coaching; addresses policy and disciplinary matters when needed.
• Troubleshoots programming and equipment issues; maintains a clean, safe work environment.
