Job summary

Karman Space and Defense is seeking a CNC Programming Manager in Corona, CA. You will lead a hands-on programming team, develop and verify programs for three- and five-axis machines, and coordinate CAM workflows with SolidWorks and other CAM platforms.

The role prioritizes production targets, quality, safety, and manufacturing efficiency, collaborating with R&D and planning to boost performance and reduce waste.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Five+ years of CNC machining-center experience in a job-shop.
• Certification in CNC machining or 5+ years of CNC experience.
• Proven supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with multi-axis machining (4th/5th axis).
• GD&T proficiency and tight tolerances.
• G-code and CAD/CAM programming proficiency.
• SolidWorks and CAM software experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages CNC programming team to meet targets and safety standards.
• Develops programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines and verifies with Vericut.
• Oversees mills, turning centers, Swiss lathes, and related tooling.
• Converts CAM output to CAM software workflows and transitions.
• Collaborates with R&D and production planning to improve efficiency.
• Manages tooling, material handling, and inventory.
• Implements quality-control measures and uses precision instruments.
• Conducts training, evaluations, and coaching as needed.
