Job summary
Sun Hydraulics in Sarasota, FL seeks a highly skilled CNC Programmer to develop complex multi-axis programs for lathe, mill-turn and milling operations. You will optimize processes, model cutting paths, select tooling, and generate efficient G-code for our precision components.
The role requires mastery of Esprit, Mastercam, and Alkart Wizard CAM, plus hands-on experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Mazatrol controls. You will mentor others and ensure program validation meets tight tolerances.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise in multi-axis programming across lathe, mill-turn and milling platforms.
- Experience generating production-ready code with Esprit, Mastercam, or Alkart Wizard CAM.
- Deep experience with Fanuc, Mitsubishi and Mazatrol control systems.
- Ability to interpret complex drawings, GD&T and solid models.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for mechanical/program issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop, prove out, and optimize multi-axis CNC programs for diverse machines.
- Model cutting paths and tooling selections, optimize feeds and speeds.
- Set up, troubleshoot and maintain advanced CNC equipment.
- Lead quality checks and validate programs against specifications.
- Mentor junior programmers and operators; support maintenance activities.
