Job summary

Chromalloy in Carson City, NV is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer to provide technical and production support for gas turbine components used in aerospace and industrial applications. You’ll develop and optimize CNC machining processes, fixture and tool design, and troubleshoot existing workflows.

You’ll lead project teams, apply Lean and CI methodologies, and collaborate with Chromalloy Engineering on new parts, repairs, and technology integration.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience programming in the Aerospace or Industrial gas turbine engine mechanical design discipline.
• 3D CAD Modeling and CAM Programming (Siemens NX Preferred).
• Experience with Multi-Axis Milling and Grinding. (Okuma experience preferred).
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, Lean tools & methodologies, and strong project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment and a track record of delivering results.
• Knowledge of FAA Guidelines for PMA and RS-DER Requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop fixturing, tooling, and CNC programs for Milling and Grinding of turbine components.
• Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to ensure flawless production and perfect part quality.
• Apply CI and Lean tools and methodologies to continuously improve our processes. Identify, develop and implement tooling/equipment improvements.
• Lead project teams working on new designs, repairs, and process enhancements.
• Utilize project management skills to drive successful outcomes within technical, budgetary, and schedule requirements.
• Engage with the Chromalloy Engineering team to develop new parts, repairs, and cutting-edge technologies.
• Implement innovative methods that positively impact business metrics.
