Job summary

Chromalloy Gas Turbine, LLC in Carson City, NV is seeking a Senior CNC Programmer to lead CNC programming, fixture design, and CAM process development for turbine components. Qualifications

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Senior CNC Programmer, your responsibilities include providing technical and production support for gas turbine systems in aerospace and industrial applications. You'll develop and optimize CNC machining processes, create new fixtures and tools, and troubleshoot existing processes. Additionally, you'll lead project teams, apply Lean methodologies, and collaborate with the Chromalloy Engineering team on new parts, repairs, and technology implementation..

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop fixturing, tooling, and CNC programs for Milling and Grinding of turbine components.
• Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to ensure flawless production and perfect part quality.
• Apply CI and Lean tools and methodologies to continuously improve our processes. Identify, develop and implement tooling/equipment improvements.
• Lead project teams working on new designs, repairs, and process enhancements.
• Utilize project management skills to drive successful outcomes within technical, budgetary, and schedule requirements.
• Engage with the Chromalloy Engineering team to develop new parts, repairs, and cutting-edge technologies.
• Implement innovative methods that positively impact business metrics.

What We're Looking For

• Associate's degree is preferred
• 5+ years of experience programming in the Aerospace or Industrial gas turbine engine mechanical design discipline
• 3D CAD Modeling and CAM Programming (Siemens NX Preferred)
• Experience with Multi-Axis Milling and Grinding. (Okuma experience preferred.)
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement, Lean tools & methodologies, and strong project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment and a track record of delivering results.
• Knowledge of FAA Guidelines for PMA and RS-DER Requirements is a plus

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
