Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a highly experienced machinist to develop hardware in collaboration with Engineering and to directly contribute to safe human spaceflight through high-precision manufacturing. You will program, set up, machine, and inspect parts across 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and multi-axis lathes, while maintaining quality and process documentation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machining.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware in parallel and in collaboration with Engineering.
• Machine product from cradle to grave: evaluate, select work-holding and tooling, program, setup, machine and inspect, while communicating with design teams.
• Programming, set up and machining of 3, 4 and 5 axis mills, multi axis lathes, and development of critical machining processes.
• Operate NC and manual equipment as required.
• Work with engineering to document and standardize production processes.
• Prioritize work with leadership based on production schedule and goals.
• Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of machinery and equipment.
• Perform tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
