Job summary

Blue Origin Operations is seeking highly skilled CNC Machine Programmers to join the Advanced Manufacturing Machine Shop. You will create CAM programs for 3-5 axis mills and multi-axis lathes, then manufacture parts from start to finish for nickel-based alloys used in spaceflight.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in multi-axis CNC machining, strong CAM experience (NX preferred), GD&T proficiency, and the ability to collaborate with engineering to optimize production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in 3,4 and 5 axis CNC machining.
• 10+ years manual milling and lathe experience.
• 7+ years in complex CAM programming; NX highly preferred.
• Full understanding of GD&T and inspection techniques.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment and collaborate with design teams.

Responsibilities

• Machine product from cradle to grave, selecting tooling and programs.
• Program, set up, machine, and inspect parts across 3–5 axis machines.
• Operate NC and manual equipment as required.
• Document and standardize production processes with engineering.
• Prioritize work with leadership based on schedule and goals.
• Ensure conformance to engineering specs and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep machinery clean and safe.
