Job summary

Wolfram Manufacturing Technologies in Austin, TX is seeking a highly experienced Process Development Engineer to lead the expansion of production capacity. You will own process development for multi-axis CNC machining, program for multiple machines, and prove out new processes on the shop floor.

You will collaborate closely with the Production Engineering Manager and Engineering Director, documenting workflows in OnTakt and driving continuous improvement across the shop.

Qualifications

• Multi-axis CNC programming experience for turning, milling, live tooling.
• Experience programming for tight tolerances in hardened or stainless materials.
• Proficiency with a professional CAM platform (TopSolid preferred). Training available.
• Ability to read and program directly from engineering drawings.
• Clear documentation habits to enable handoffs and reuse.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative manufacturing processes for CNC machines.
• Program processes for various CNC machines.
• Prove out processes on CNCs and validate performance.
• Design fixtures, tools, and potential new machines or automations.
• Document CNC processes clearly in OnTakt with setup sheets and notes.
• Support production operators with troubleshooting and guidance.
• Maintain and improve process health and performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering Director to maintain high execution standards.
