Job description

Ready to turn fresh designs into repeatable, high-yield CNC realities?

If you thrive on building first-article success into steady-state production, this role is for you. You'll be the go-to partner for quality engineers, QA, setup leads, machinists, and design engineering---owning CNC process creation, verification, optimization, and documentation for NPI.

Why this role matters
  • Own process performance---reduce cycle time, elevate quality, and hit on-time delivery.
  • Bring DFM upstream so parts are built for manufacturability from day one.
  • Scale smart---choose the right machines, tooling, and technologies to ramp effectively.
What you'll tackle
  • Build CNC processes end to end: tooling, fixturing, and multi-axis programming.
  • Program with CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, Esprit, Siemens NX) and validate in VERICUT.
  • Analyze workflows to boost productivity, slash waste, and standardize best practices.
  • Drive root-cause investigations and lock in corrective/preventive actions.
  • Produce clear work instructions, setup sheets, and SOPs that operators can trust.
  • Coach machinists on probing, macro programming, and quality-first execution.
  • Lead Lean initiatives---5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen---across the shop floor.
  • Maintain safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance in every process.
Do you bring the essentials?
  • 5 years in CNC machining/process engineering with hands-on programming and setup.
  • Mastery of multi-axis work: 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills and multi-axis mill-turn lathes.
  • Fluent in reading drawings/specs and applying GD&T (Y14.5).
  • Comfortable with metrology tools and measurement systems.
  • Lean/CI track record and strong root-cause problem solving.
  • Team-first communicator who collaborates across departments.
Nice to have
  • BS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related field.
  • ERP/MRP exposure---Epicor preferred.
Domain strengths
  • GD&T
  • CNC Programming
  • Process Engineering
  • Aerospace Manufacturing
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
Tooling your success
  • CNC Mill (3--4 axis VMC): Haas, Okuma, Makino, DMG Mori Seiki, Fanuc
  • CNC Lathe (2--4 axis): Haas, Okuma, DMG Mori Seiki
  • CNC Swiss Lathe: Tsugami
  • CAD: SolidWorks, Siemens NX (NX CAD)
  • CAM: Esprit, Siemens NX
  • CNC Mill (5 axis VMC): Okuma, Fanuc, DMG Mori Seiki, Haas
  • CNC Lathe (5 axis): Okuma, Index, DMG Mori Seiki
