Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills, producing precision fittings per blueprints and work instructions. You will interpret complex drawings, adjust tooling, and maintain quality through SPC in a team environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent with five+ years in high- tech machining, able to set up five CNC types, and proficient in IGF software and CMM inspection.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and five or more years related machining experience in a high technology manufacturing environment.
• Able to set up and run a minimum of five CNC machine types.
• May require specialized certification specific to division requirements (i.e. certified operator).
• Reads, understands, and follows blueprints, complex drawings, engineering specifications.
• Able to make and evaluate precision machine set ups on a minimum of five CNC machine types.

Responsibilities

• Runs multiple machines efficiently, which may require simultaneous operations.
• Creates standard machining programs using IGF Software; proves out and edits programs.
• Sets ups, adjusts, and operates CNC lathes and mills for complex production work.
• Interprets customer requirements from blueprints and engineering specs.
• Interfaces with engineering to resolve drawing errors and design changes.
• Maintains equipment and performs SPC to ensure quality.
• Trains and mentors less experienced team members.
