Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate multiple CNC and conventional lathes and mills. You will read blueprints, prove and edit IGF programs, and ensure tight tolerances while maintaining high quality.

The role includes mentoring junior teammates and participating in lean initiatives. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of machining experience, strong math skills, and the ability to work independently in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 5+ years machining experience in a high-tech manufacturing setting.
• Ability to set up and run a minimum of five CNC machine types.
• May require specialized certification (e.g., certified operator).
• Reads blueprints and engineering drawings, and follows instructions.
• Able to make precision setups on at least five CNC machines.
• Knowledge of advanced shop mathematics, including trigonometry.
• Able to understand written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Run multiple machines efficiently; adapt tooling to meet production needs.
• Create machining programs using IGF Software; prove and edit.
• Set up and operate CNC and conventional lathes/mills with tight tolerances.
• Interpret customer requirements from blueprints and specs.
• Interface with engineering to resolve drawing issues.
• Train and mentor less experienced teammates.
