Job summary

TECOMET in Melrose, MA, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III to produce precision components by operating, setting up, and possibly programming CNC mills, wires and lathes. You will follow drawings, maintain quality, and work within GMP-like practices while meeting productivity goals.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, adjusting tooling, and mentoring junior machinists, as part of a continuous improvement culture aimed at customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up CNC mills, wires, and lathes within specified tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Program CNC machines with some supervision as needed.
• Propose new production setups and adjust tooling/offsets as part of new setups.
• Perform difficult CNC machining with close tolerances and varied metals.
