Job summary

TECOMET in Watertown, MA is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to produce precision parts by operating and setting up CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDMs. Some programming may be required and work must meet tight tolerances per engineering drawings.

You will read blueprints, adjust tooling, document processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety and quality practices. This role requires strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Some programming with supervision may be required.
• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new production set ups and change offsets/tooling.
• Perform difficult CNC machining with close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Maintain and improve work instructions and tooling.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and productivity.
• Ensure product quality with OOQ standards and measurement tools.
