Job summary

TECOMET is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III to produce precision parts by operating, setting up, and potentially programming CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and lathes. You will follow drawings, ensure tolerance control, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining GMP/GDP quality practices.

The role requires 5+ years CNC machining experience and a focus on safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred; GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes within tolerances per instructions and drawings.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling in machines as part of new setup.
• Perform difficult CNC machining, maintaining very close tolerances on varied parts and metals.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot and understand CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions.
• Assist engineering with fixture redesigns to improve quality and productivity.
