Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a CNC Machinist in Broussard, LA to set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precise metal components. The role ensures parts meet drawings and that routine care is performed.

You will read drawings, select tools and offsets, adjust speeds, monitor alarms, inspect parts with precision tools, and maintain traceability. Strong safety and housekeeping practices are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years CNC lathe/mill experience required.
• 5+ years multi-axis experience preferred.
• HAAS/CNC/Fanuc experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, orders, and work instructions.
• Set up and operate Mazak lathes and other CNC equipment.
• Select fixtures, tools, offsets, and workholding for each job.
• Adjust speeds, feeds, tooling and methods to maintain tolerances.
• Monitor operation and respond to tool wear, alarms, or process issues.
• Inspect first pieces and in-process parts with measuring tools.
• Record production and inspection data; maintain traceability.
• Perform routine maintenance and report equipment problems promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace following SOPs and PPE rules.
