Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate high-precision machines to manufacture aerospace components. You will interpret complex blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T specifications to determine tooling, speeds, and feeds, ensuring tight tolerances.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, 3- to 5-axis machine operation, and familiarity with aerospace materials. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate degree a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist.
• Experience in CNC machine setup, operation, and programming (if required) for complex parts with tight tolerances.
• Proficiency in operating 3-4-5-axis CNC machines; aerospace machining experience preferred.
• Familiarity with aerospace materials and their machining requirements.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines according to drawings and specifications.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T to determine tooling, speeds, and feeds.
• Select cutting tools and optimize speeds and feeds for efficiency and precision.
• Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Troubleshoot toolings and setups to minimize downtime and maintain quality.
• Document setup procedures and part dimensions for repeatability.
• Maintain and calibrate CNC machines; perform routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to improve processes.
