Dover Precision Components in Houston, TX is seeking a senior CNC machinist to perform complex machining on precision components, operate two or more CNC lathes/mills, and ensure tight tolerances per detailed drawings. You will set up tooling, program machines, and verify first articles, maintaining records of production and inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in shop math, blueprint reading and GDT.
• Minimum of 10 years of trade school apprenticeship or equivalent shop experience as a machinist.

Responsabilités

• Reads drawings, sketches and specifications to complete machining operations.
• Performs machine set ups to obtain close tolerances and proper alignment.
• Performs inspections on first pieces and in-process parts with various measuring tools.
• Maintains records of time, counts and inspections for each job.
• Fabricates jigs/fixtures as needed and procures materials and tools when required.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and adheres to quality procedures.
