Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Houston, TX seeks a seasoned CNC machinist to perform complex machining on lathes and mills, set up jobs, and verify first pieces and in-process inspections.

Reading drawings and GD&T, you will ensure parts meet tolerances, maintain records, and support tool changes. The ideal candidate has 10+ years’ experience and can train others while upholding safety and quality. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical training in shop math, blueprint reading and GD&T.
• 10+ years of machinist trade experience.

Responsibilities

• Works from drawings, sketches and specifications to complete machining operations.
• Sets up machines to obtain close tolerances and proper fit.
• Performs first piece inspections and ongoing in-process checks.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and records production data.
