Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Houston, TX is seeking a fully seasoned CNC machinist to perform complex operations across multiple machines. The role requires reading drawings, setting up machines, and maintaining tight tolerances with GD&T.

You will inspect first pieces and ongoing parts, document counts and times, and create fixtures as needed. Ideal candidates bring a minimum of 10 years' experience, strong communication skills, and a disciplined approach to shop mathematics and GDT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical training in shop math, blueprint reading and GDT is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of machinist experience or equivalent apprenticeship.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Works from drawings and specifications to complete machining operations.
• Performs machine set ups to obtain close tolerances and proper alignment.
• Obtains first-piece inspections and ongoing inspections with measuring devices.
• Maintains records of time, part counts and requisitions for each job.
• Makes jigs, fixtures or other specialized non-production devices as qualified.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and adheres to 5S standards.
• Provides training and leadership to other machinists.
