Job summary

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, shop math and blueprint reading training, and 5+ years of machinist experience; ability to read drawings and edit CNC programs.

You will maintain tools and fixtures, document production data, and maintain a safe, orderly shop aligned with 5S practices.

Qualifications

• Technical training in shop math and blueprint reading
• 5+ years of machinist apprenticeship or equivalent shop experience

Responsibilities

• Read drawings, sketches and specifications to complete various machining operations.
• Edit CNC programs to manufacture parts per blueprint/drawings.
• Set up machines to obtain close tolerances and proper fit of machined parts.
• Perform first piece inspections and ongoing inspections using measuring devices.
• Maintain records of time, part counts, inspections and requisitions for each job.
• Make jigs, fixtures or other specialized non-production devices as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and conform to quality procedures.
