Job summary

Corning is seeking an experienced machinist to lay out, fabricate, and inspect complex machine shop work with CNC mills, lathes, and drill presses. You will set up tools, read blueprints, and work to close tolerances using precision measurement devices.

Applicants should have a 4-year apprenticeship plus 2 years non-production experience or 8 years in non-production roles. Starting pay is $37.16 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package through the collective bargaining agreement.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, fabricate, and inspect complex machine shop work.
• Set up machine tools, grind cutting and forming tools, and mount tools in machine.
• Operate machine tools, turning, facing, drilling, boring to required dimensions.
