Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Five or more years of directly related CNC machining experience in a high technology manufacturing environment.
• Reads blueprints, complex drawings, and engineering specifications; follows instructions precisely.
• Able to make and evaluate precision machine setups and understand precision machining principles.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Strong verbal and written communication; capable of mentoring teammates.

Responsibilities

• Runs multiple machines efficiently; may operate several at once.
• Sets up and operates conventional and/or CNC machines for high-precision work.
• Interprets customer requirements from blueprints and specs to ensure conformance.
• Interacts with engineering to resolve drawing issues and improve designs.
• Executes manufacturing methods using standard machines, materials, and tooling.
• Trains and mentors less experienced team members.
• Maintains equipment cleanliness and calibration per schedule.
• Performs SPC and uses advanced shop mathematics.
