Job summary

Parker Aerospace in Camarillo, CA is seeking a CNC Machinist - 1st Shift. Under general guidance you will operate CNC milling equipment and perform basic to moderately complex machining in accordance with blueprints, specs and setup instructions.

Responsibilities include reading tolerances, verifying part quality with standard inspection tools, and making minor offset adjustments while maintaining safe, compliant processes. Competitive hourly pay ($22.85–$36.10) and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years related tooling experience or demonstrated ability to perform described position responsibilities.
• Must demonstrate manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and follow forms, schematics and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Interprets blueprints, specifications, work instructions and process documentation to understand part requirements and tolerances.
• Operates CNC milling equipment with safe practices and basic machine controls.
• Uses end mills, drills, taps and inserts; monitors tool wear and tool condition.
• Verifies parts conformance using standard inspection tools and documented methods.
• Performs in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers and indicators.
• Makes minor cutter compensation and offset adjustments as needed.
• Monitors machine operation, part condition and surface finish to ensure quality.
• Identifies out-of-spec conditions and communicates issues through established channels.
• Follows standard work and safety requirements; completes production documentation on time.
