Job summary

Isembard in Dallas is seeking a hands-on CNC programmer and machinist to own parts from the program to the finished component. You will program, simulate and run jobs for aerospace and defense components, contribute to setup and process improvements as the factory is being shaped.

You will optimize toolpaths for 3-axis, 5-axis/mill-turn, select tooling, fixturing and cutting parameters, and ensure tight tolerances while documenting work in MasonOS.

Qualifications

• Strong CAM programming in Fusion, Hypermill, Mastercam or equivalent.
• A record of holding tolerances of ±0.01 mm (about ±0.0004 in) or tighter.
• Production experience setting and running high-end machines such as Hermle, DMG Mori or Mazak.
• A solid understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling strategy and workholding.
• Confident reading of complex drawings and GD&T.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.

Responsibilities

• Program, simulate and optimize toolpaths in 3-axis, 5-axis and mill-turn where it applies.
• Set up, prove out and run jobs to aerospace and defense standards.
• Own cycle time and machine utilization.
• Choose fixturing, tooling and cutting parameters for aluminum, steels, titanium and Inconel.
• Take new parts from drawing to repeatable production, with DFM feedback for the customer.
• Log your work accurately in MasonOS, our in-house operating software.
• Help standardize programming approaches that other sites in the network can reuse.
