Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to independently set up and operate complex 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining centers with minimal supervision.
• Experience machining one-of-one, prototype, or low-volume, high-value components.
• Experience machining Inconel, titanium, stainless steel, copper, and/or other exotic alloys.
• Conversational programming experience using Fanuc and/or Siemens controls.
• CAM software experience with Mastercam/ESPRIT/CATIA or comparable tools.
• Experience in AS9100 or equivalent quality system.
• Strong GD&T and blueprint-reading skills.
• Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate complex 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machining centers.
• Prove out setups for new or unproven components with Programming and Engineering.
• Machine one-of-one, prototype, and low-volume flight hardware using exotic alloys.
• Perform conversational programming and edits using Fanuc and Siemens controls.
• Install and qualify fixtures, workholding, tools, probes, and datums.
• Interpret drawings, models, and GD&T requirements.
• Conduct first-piece and in-process dimensional verification and monitor tooling.
• Troubleshoot machining and process issues with cross-functional teams.
• Provide mentorship to less-experienced machinists.
