Job summary

Mach Industries, a fast-growing defense technology company in San Luis Obispo, seeks a skilled CNC Machine Programmer to program and operate advanced CNC machines for precision components used in autonomous defense platforms.

You will collaborate with engineers, design fixtures and tooling, and optimize processes to deliver high-quality parts for rapid prototyping and production cycles, with a focus on defense-grade standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC programming experience using CAM software.
5+ years of setup/operation of CNC machines with multi-axis capabilities.
Strong knowledge of G/M codes and controls (Fanuc/Siemens/Brother).
Experience machining metals, plastics, and composites with high precision.
Ability to design tooling, fixturing and workholding solutions.
Proven ownership of end-to-end manufacturing processes from programming to inspection.
Ability to switch between R&D prototyping and production environments.

Responsibilities

Read blueprints/CAD models and create CNC programs for multi-axis milling and turning.
Program, set up, and operate CNC machines using CAM software.
Design and implement tooling and fixturing to optimize efficiency.
Operate 5-axis mills and multi-tasking machines to produce high-tolerance parts.
Troubleshoot issues, adjust programs, and optimize processes.
Conduct in-process and final GD&T inspections to ensure quality.
