Job summary

Composite Factory in Mooresville, NC seeks an experienced CNC Programmer to develop, optimize, and maintain 3- and 5-axis CNC programs for aerospace, defense, and motorsports components. You will work with the Machining Manager to ensure parts meet exacting CF standards and quality.

You will oversee first article production, troubleshoot issues, and refine machining processes from concept to final production while applying Lean techniques and maintaining safety and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years machining experience, aerospace or mold making.
• 5+ years CNC programming experience (Mastercam preferred).
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, G & M codes, CAD/CAM software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in trigonometry, geometry, and precise math for machining.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3- and 5-axis CNC programs for aerospace and motorsports components.
• Create comprehensive work packages: CNC programs, setup sheets, tool lists, documentation.
• Analyze drawings to develop efficient machining processes.
• Use verification software to ensure program accuracy and crash protection.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists to develop detailed work instructions.
• Assist in designing fixtures and tooling to optimize production.
• Provide shop floor support and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Lead root cause analysis with quality team to minimize non-conformances.
• Drive Lean manufacturing improvements in production processes.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and production requirements.
