Job summary

Aerometals Inc. seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes, including 3‑axis and 4‑axis setups. You will read blueprints, calculate feeds and speeds, edit programs by hand, and mentor junior machinists. SolidWorks/CAMWorks experience is a plus.

You will support various machines, fixtures, and tooling, ensuring parts meet precise tolerances and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6+ years machining experience with CNC mills/lathe.
• Experience with SolidWorks and CAMWorks preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM programming and blueprint interpretation.
• Knowledge of G&M code and tooling setup.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC milling and turning operations including 3-axis, 4-axis programs.
• Program simple parts and edit programs by hand on machine control.
• Load raw materials, change fixtures, and load parts as per blueprints.
• Mentor operators and machinists, and support welding/sheet metal tooling as needed.
• Calculate SFPM, RPM, feeds, and chip load for accurate tolerances.
• Create fixtures and tooling for specific jobs and update setup sheets.
