Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Mill Operator in Auburn, CA, to work with 3- and 4-axis CNC mills and grinders for aerospace components. You will set up tooling, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances while following safety and quality procedures.

The role requires hands-on experience with inspection tools and a solid understanding of GD&T. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive pay and benefits, including a strong safety-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating 3-axis CNC mills.
• Experience with micrometers and inspection tools.
• Ability to set up mills, tooling, fixturing.
• Blueprint reading proficiency.
• GD&T knowledge preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Safety PPE adherence.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3- and 4-axis CNC mills and grinders to produce aerospace components.
• Use calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and ensure spec conformance.
• Make manual adjustments at machine controls to optimize performance and quality.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
• Perform tooling selection and part alignment for milling and grinding operations.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections and document results.
• Apply GD&T to verify geometric tolerances where applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow procedures.
