Job summary

Okuma America Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician II to diagnose and repair CNC machines, perform installations and upgrades, and deliver expert technical support to customers and distributors. Travel to customer sites is required to ensure optimal machine performance and reliability.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with CNC controls, automation, and diagnostics, plus strong documentation and communication skills to support service teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or industry experience preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, CNC equipment, automation systems, or related technologies.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, software, and control-related issues.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced troubleshooting, repair, and technical support for Okuma machines, controls, and automation systems.
• Perform machine installations, retrofits, upgrades, and corrective service activities at customer facilities.
• Diagnose issues remotely and on-site, delivering timely solutions and documentation.
• Develop technical documentation, repair procedures, and service bulletins to aid distributors and customers.
• Act as a trusted technical resource to strengthen customer relationships and machine reliability.
