Job summary

The Senior Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan serves as an experienced caregiver to residents in long-term care during the scheduled evening shift. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision, following care plans and infection prevention protocols.

Performs basic health care tasks such as vital signs, transfers, and assisting with meals while supporting psychosocial needs and documenting care activities.

Qualifications

• Must have active CNA certification with State Board of Nursing.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• May require Restorative Nursing training within 6 months.
• Minimum age 16 and ability to meet unit responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the RN.
• Assist with transfers, mobility and range-of-motion activities.
• Support residents with meals and dining experiences.
• Document interactions and maintain infection prevention practices.
• Assist with wellness and recreational programs.
