Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a highly technical and strategic Senior CMF Designer to join the Bellevue, WA Industrial Design team. You will define CMF standards across a diverse hardware portfolio, translating the design vision into scalable, production-ready solutions with manufacturing partners.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in design or related field and 10+ years in hardware, CMF strategy, and cross-functional program management. Willingness to travel to supplier sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years hardware product development experience.
• 10+ years working with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Proven CMF strategy development from concept to mass production.
• Strong program leadership, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience defining specs, test procedures, and design verification.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and scale a holistic CMF strategy across the Warfighter Systems portfolio.
• Evaluate materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes for performance and durability.
• Lead on-site color-matching and verify parts under standardized lighting.
• Serve as CMF expert at supplier and manufacturing sites for cosmetic quality.
• Create and maintain CMF specs, samples, and tolerance requirements.
• Develop tracking systems and workflows for CMF specifications across lifecycles.
• Lead design and research operations—roadmaps, backlogs, intake processes.
• Collaborate with design, research, engineering, and manufacturing leadership.
• Balance constraints, priorities, and user experience to achieve strong outcomes.
