Job summary

Anduril Industries' Engineering Team is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer to lead hardware product development. You will own engineering documentation and mechanical drafting for multiple products, covering electrical and mechanical components, with a strong emphasis on manufacturability and PLM processes.

The role requires extensive CAD experience (NX), GD&T, and Teamcenter governance; you will manage BOMs and drive design release workflows in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of CAD drafting experience on complex mechanical systems.
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Experience with metal forming, machining, assembly, additive manufacturing, PCB fabrication.
• 5+ years maintaining a PLM system as SME.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain Bills of Materials for hardware products and track design changes through production.
• Develop detailed drawings for mechanical, electrical, and optical components to industry standards.
• Perform tolerance build-up analysis and create GD&T drawings.
• Act as on-site Teamcenter expert guiding stakeholders on best practices.
• Maintain and document changes to existing hardware products.
• Drive establishment of PLM framework, including design release workflows and data models.
