Job summary

You will own components from concept through prototype and high-rate production, collaborating with production teams to ensure scalable solutions.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace, 3+ years in mechanical design with DFM/DFA, and strong GD&T skills (ASME Y14.5).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on mechanical design with a focus on DFM/DFA.
• Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T for drawings and tolerances.
• Experience designing for weldments, precision machining, tooling for injection molding, and composites.
• Eligible to obtain/maintain US Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design for Scale to maximize production throughput, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Design parts and assemblies using welding, machining, molding, and composites.
• Author and release engineering drawings to ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Create production instructions, process sheets, and assembly docs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Tooling, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve issues.
• Mentor junior hardware engineers in drawing standards and manufacturing best practices.
