Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a highly technical Senior CMF Designer to join the Industrial Design team in Bellevue, WA. You will define CMF standards across the Warfighter Systems portfolio and translate the design vision into scalable, production-ready solutions with manufacturing partners.

You’ll lead site color-matching, establish Cosmetic Quality Specifications, and maintain comprehensive CMF documentation to ensure surface consistency across product lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or related field; equivalent experience.
• “10+ years” hardware product development experience.
• “10+ years” of technical product/program management exposure.
• Experience defining and executing CMF strategies from concept to mass production.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop, and scale CMF strategy across Warfighter Systems hardware.
• Evaluate advanced materials, coatings, and sustainable processes for performance and design.
• Lead on-site color-matching sessions under standardized lighting.
• Serve as SME for visual and cosmetic quality at supplier/manufacturing sites.
• Establish and implement Cosmetic Quality Specification with global partners.
• Create and maintain CMF specifications, samples, and process requirements.
• Develop tracking systems to manage CMF specs across product lifecycle.
• Lead design and research operations, including roadmaps and backlogs.
• Collaborate with design and research leadership on prioritization and resources.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration; provide status updates and escalations.
• Balance technical constraints with business priorities and user experience.
