Job summary

Vanguard in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an experienced CMDB/Discovery leader to own ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB integration, and governance for enterprise IT. You will drive cloud and asset discovery initiatives and collaborate with IT teams and vendors to raise standards and reliability.

You will mentor teammates, tackle complex production challenges, and help shape enterprise IT service management and governance for scalable operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technical specialties with 3–4 years in hardware/software configuration and troubleshooting.
• Deep knowledge of infrastructure design, cloud engineering, networking (TCP/IP, ACCP), performance tuning, debugging, and enterprise IT platforms.
• Relevant technical certifications or ability to attain within 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead Discovery & CMDB integration: implement and optimize ServiceNow Discovery for enterprise visibility.
• Pilot AI-driven solutions to automate CMDB governance and discovery processes.
• Provide expert troubleshooting for production issues and ensure reliable system performance.
• Plan and execute major IT infrastructure initiatives and upgrades.
• Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to set technical standards and resolve issues.
• Mentor and elevate team capabilities through coaching and guidance.
