Job summary

Adventist Health Ukiah Valley seeks aTechnical Laboratory Supervisor who will oversee all laboratory testing, coordinate POCT, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires a CLS license in CA, a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related field, and leadership experience.

The supervisor will manage staffing, training, QA/QC, and ensure accreditation and OSHA standards are met across the lab. Strong communication with Medical Staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent is required.
• Five years' clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Two years' leadership experience preferred.
• Valid CLS license in CA required.
• ASCP or NCA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all laboratory testing and coordinates POCT; ensures accuracy of results.
• Reviews and trains staff on instrumentation, technology and procedures.
• Establishes test performance characteristics and evaluates new instrumentation and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with CLIA, FDA, CAP, JC, AABB and OSHA regulations.
• Manages staffing, promotions and training for technicians and technologists.
