Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, chemical sciences or allied health technologies or equivalent: Required
• Master's Degree: Preferred
• Five years' clinical laboratory experience: Preferred
• One year's leadership experience: Preferred
• Valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license in state of employment: Required in CA
• Current certification from ASCP or National Credentialing Agency for Labs (NCA): Preferred in CA and HI
• ASCP Certification (ASCP): Required

Aufgaben

• Manages the day-to-day operations of the laboratory unit; maintains first line accountability for outcomes and staffing.
• Prepares technical reports reflecting volume of work, procedures and test results; analyzes data and trends.
• Develops and implements quality control programs; ensures compliance with federal regulations and safety.
• Trains, supervises and schedules the senior laboratory staff and phlebotomists.
• Oversees budgeting, contracts, CPT coding, and financial performance of the laboratory.
