Job summary

Adventist Health Simi Valley is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily lab activity for stat and routine testing, and to supervise staff across departments. The role coordinates proficiency testing, compliance with Joint Commission and other regulators, and acts as Shift Supervisor within budget constraints.

Required is a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, CA CLS license, and hospital-lab experience; five years' clinical lab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
• Five years' clinical laboratory experience: Preferred
• Clinical Lab Scientist experience in hospital setting: Preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily laboratory activity for stat and routine testing.
• Supervises technologists, phlebotomists, processors and staff; manages scheduling.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with CLIA, CAP, JC, OSHA and related agencies.
• Maintains quality control and documentation of proficiency testing and records.
