Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking a Senior Operational Engineer to join the CCIO team, focusing on modernizing and supporting the enterprise telephony and contact centre platforms.

You will drive cloud-based, AI-enabled solutions with Microsoft Teams Telephony and Amazon Connect, collaborating with architects, engineers, and operations to improve employee and client experiences within a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years designing, delivering, and supporting cloud-based solutions.
• 2+ years hands-on AWS services and enterprise telephony platforms (Amazon Connect/Microsoft Teams Telephony).
• Experience developing AWS Lambda solutions using Python.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles and AWS services.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and migrate financial centres to Microsoft Teams Telephony.
• Gather requirements with stakeholders and develop telephony and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Support scalable, secure, cloud-based solutions aligned to security/governance standards.
• Create High-Level Designs and detailed implementation approaches for telephony/cloud infra.
• Maintain incident response and operational support for platform reliability.
