Job summary

Sun Life U.S. is seeking a Senior Operational Engineer to join the CCIO team.

You will help design, deliver, and support enterprise telephony and cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft Teams Telephony and Amazon Connect, with an AI-forward focus. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and business partners to define designs, implement scalable solutions, and drive modernization within a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
3-5 years designing, delivering, and supporting cloud-based solutions.
Experience with AWS Lambda and Python.

Responsibilities

Plan, prioritize, and execute migration initiatives to modernize Financial Centres onto Microsoft Teams Telephony.
Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, architects, and partners to refine solutions and add AI-enabled capabilities.
Develop high-level and detailed designs for telephony and cloud infrastructure.
Support and enhance Amazon Connect and AWS services for reliability and performance.
Participate in Agile teams and DevOps practices including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and monitoring.
Identify opportunities to use AI and automation to improve efficiency and experience.
Provide mentoring and document operational procedures for teams.
