Job summary

Gateway Fiber is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to administer Microsoft cloud services (Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune) and manage Azure VMs, networking, and storage. You’ll automate processes, maintain Windows Server and VMware environments, monitor systems, and support security tooling like Cisco Meraki and Arctic Wolf to keep the enterprise environment secure.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure cloud certification or 5+ years of experience in cloud/network administration.
• Experience administering Microsoft cloud services: Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, Security Center.
• Experience with Azure virtual machines, networking, and storage.
• Practical knowledge of computer systems, security, networks, databases, and data storage.
• Experience with RMM tools such as NinjaOne, Atera, or Intune.
• VMware ESXi and vCenter administration experience is a plus.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting security technologies: Cisco Meraki, Arctic Wolf, firewalls, vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Gateway’s Microsoft cloud environment (Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, Security Center).
• Support Azure virtual machines, networking, and storage resources.
• Build processes, automation, and tooling to simplify and scale operations.
• Maintain Windows Server and VMware environments; ensure reliability and security.
• Monitor systems, respond to alerts and tickets with urgency and follow-through.
• Configure, monitor, and maintain security platforms including Cisco Meraki and Arctic Wolf.
