Job summary

Verra Mobility seeks a Sr. Systems Engineer to collaborate with Architecture and Engineering in deploying cloud-native and on‑premises solutions. You will work with IT Operations to deploy secure Azure environments, manage hyper‑converged platforms, and implement disaster recovery and automation across multi-site data centers.

You will contribute to a global 24/7 support model, lead incident responses, and advise on complex architectures while maintaining Windows Server and Linux expertise.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant work experience in datacenters, private/public cloud, SAN, and networking.
• Datacenter or cloud certifications relevant to the role.
• Strong collaboration and initiative to propose solutions.
• BS in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in data center installation and operations.
• Strong understanding of hyper-converged infrastructure.
• Experience with multi-site and hot‑hot architectures.
• Proficient in Windows Server, VMware stack (VxRail, vSphere, NSX).
• Experience scripting for automation and systems management.
• Familiar with SOX, SOC2, ISO and PCI in multi-tenant environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement on premise, private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid Azure solutions.
• Manage hyperconverged platforms such as Cisco UCS, VxRail and VMware.
• Implement availability and performance monitoring frameworks.
• Test and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery plans.
• Track and report system changes, assets, and documentation to management.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts or frameworks.
• Provide high-quality support to customers, management, and peers.
• Design and deliver secure cloud solutions on Azure or AWS.
• Lead incident management and collaborate with external vendors.
• Participate in a follow-the-sun support model and after-hours on-call.
