Job summary

Verra Mobility is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to join our Architecture and Engineering teams in the United States. You will help implement and operate cloud and on‑prem systems, with a focus on Azure, VMware, and multi‑site datacenter environments.

You will design secure cloud solutions, lead incident response, automate tasks with scripting, and collaborate across IT operations to drive reliable, scalable infrastructure. Strong Windows Server and Linux skills are essential.

Qualifications

Six+ years of experience in on-prem and cloud datacenters.
BS in Computer Science or related field.
Experience with VMware data center stack and multi-site architectures.

Responsibilities

Implement on‑prem, private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid solutions primarily in Azure.
Manage and support hyperconverged platforms such as Cisco UCS, VxRail and VMware.
Implement availability and performance monitoring frameworks.
Design and test system-level High Availability and Disaster Recovery plans.
Lead incident management and after‑hours support as needed.
Develop and maintain automation scripts or frameworks.
Provide high-quality support to customers, prospects, management, and peers.
