Job summary

Google is hiring a Customer Engineer to partner with technical Sales teams in the US West region, including Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. You will be the customer’s primary technical partner, leading technical conversations, solving issues, and architecting cross-pillar cloud solutions to drive technical wins.

You will present demos and proofs of concepts, support pricing conversations, and help guide delivery plans with engineering teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of cloud native architecture experience in a customer-facing or support role.
Experience engaging with technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
Experience with cloud infrastructure engineering, on-premise infrastructure, virtualization, or containerization.
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time as required.

Responsibilities

Develop and own the technical account plan and strategy for targeted sales motions.
Combine sales, programming, and solutions architecture expertise to prove Google Cloud value through demos and workshops.
Architect cross-pillar solutions, drive technical wins, and define delivery plans.
Facilitate post-sales transition by supporting pricing and delivery handoff to implementation teams.
Maintain awareness of progress against the delivery plan and support ramp/migration activities.
