Job summary

Oracle is seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to lead cloud transformation initiatives for a strategic customer. You will design enterprise-grade OCI solutions, ensure security, scalability, resiliency, and align with long-term tech strategy across teams.

Role requires deep experience in cloud architectures, networking, security, and multi-region DR, with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 12+ years IT experience with at least 8 years in solution architecture.
• Strong experience designing enterprise cloud solutions.
• Hands-on experience with OCI.
• Networking concepts: routing, load balancing, VPN, FastConnect, DNS, firewalls, hybrid connectivity.
• Experience with Linux and Windows.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Strong IAM, encryption, and cloud security practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience in regulated industries (financial services).
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevSecOps.
• Experience designing multi-region disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design sessions for enterprise apps, platform and infrastructure.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable solution architectures.
• Design secure, highly available, and resilient OCI-based cloud solutions.
• Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation guidance.
• Evaluate existing environments and recommend modernization strategies.
• Define networking architectures including VCNs, DRGs, Load Balancers, DNS, security zones, and hybrid connectivity.
• Establish shared observability frameworks and rollout policies across teams; manage deprecation risk.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, database, DevOps, and application development teams.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide governance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability designs.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
• Mentor engineering teams on architecture best practices and cloud-native patterns.
