Job summary

Oracle seeks a Principal Solution Architect to drive cloud transformation for enterprise customers using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). You will design secure, scalable, and highly available architectures and mentor teams across engineering, networking, and DevOps while aligning solutions with enterprise standards and long‑term strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
12+ years IT experience with at least 8 years in solution architecture.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Strong understanding of networking concepts including routing, load balancing, VPN, FastConnect, DNS, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity.
Experience with Linux and Windows platforms.
Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native architectures.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
Strong understanding of identity and access management, encryption, and cloud security best practices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting financial institutions or highly regulated industries.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
Experience designing multi-region disaster recovery solutions.
Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and design sessions for enterprise applications, platform and infrastructure.
Translate business and technical requirements into scalable solution architectures.
Design secure, highly available, and resilient cloud solutions using OCI.
Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation guidance.
Evaluate existing environments and recommend modernization strategies.
Define networking architectures including VCNs, DRGs, Load Balancers, DNS, security zones, and hybrid connectivity.
Establish shared observability frameworks and rollout policies; manage deprecation risk.
Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, database, DevOps, and application teams throughout project delivery.
Conduct architecture reviews and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify technical risks and mitigation strategies.
Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability solution designs.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing architectures.
Mentor engineering teams on architecture best practices and cloud-native design patterns.
Collaborates with stakeholders to align solutions with customer needs and product strategy.
Provide expert technical guidance to customers to mitigate recurrence of issues.
Advocate for customers’ interests and suggest product enhancements.
Engage across lines of business to ensure customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution.
Lead periodic maintenance and testing operations for systems requiring upgrades.
Drive improvements, champion continuous learning, and mentor others.
Develops innovative solutions and measures improvements across processes and workflows.
