Job summary

VSG Business Solutions LLC seeks a Senior Cloud Architect to design secure, scalable OCI-based architectures and governance models. The role focuses on hybrid/multi-cloud strategy, cloud migrations, automation, and modernization across on-prem and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate has extensive OCI experience, strong DevOps/SRE background, and certification in OCI architecture. Expect leadership in standards, security, and enterprise-scale solutions.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of hands-on OCI experience; strong OCI proficiency is mandatory.
• 4-6 years of hybrid infrastructure, cloud networking, and Cloud DevOps/automation experience.
• 2-3 years of cloud security experience.
• Deep expertise in cloud services, governance, architecture frameworks, and best practices.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle technologies including RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, and database licensing.
• Experience with Exadata, ExaCC, ExaDB-D, Exascale, DBaaS, and OEM.
• Current OCI Architect Professional or Architect Associate certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design OCI-based enterprise architectures for hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Develop cloud standards, governance frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure cloud solutions.
• Architect HA, DR, networking, backups, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Support hybrid integrations and cloud migrations from on-premises infrastructure.
• Expand IaC and automation using Terraform, Ansible, APIs, and CLI tools.
• Guide engineering teams on architecture, implementation, SRE, DevOps, observability, and cloud standards.
• Produce architecture documentation using Visio, Abacus, or similar tools.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cloud Architect to design secure, scalable cloud architectures, standards, and governance models, with a primary focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This senior-level role will partner with business and technical teams to drive hybrid/multi-cloud strategy, cloud migrations, automation, and infrastructure modernization.

Senior Cloud Architect Responsibilities

• Design enterprise architectures for OCI, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud environments.
• Develop cloud standards, governance frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure cloud solutions.
• Architect High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), networking, VLANs, backups, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Support hybrid integrations and cloud migration initiatives involving on-premises infrastructure.
• Expand Infrastructure-as-Code and automation using Terraform, Ansible, APIs, and CLI tools.
• Guide engineering teams on architecture, implementation, SRE, DevOps, observability, and cloud standards.
• Produce architecture documentation using Visio, Abacus, or similar tools.

Senior Cloud Architect Qualifications Critical

• 6 9 years of hands-on OCI experience; strong OCI proficiency is mandatory.

Senior Cloud Architect Preferred Qualifications

• 1 2 years of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP experience supporting multi-cloud initiatives.
• 1 2 years of Cloud FinOps experience.
• 2 3 years of architecture documentation experience.
• Linux and/or network administration experience.
