Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a new engineering team supporting our Cloud Streaming platforms. You will partner with domain experts, develop deep expertise in distributed systems, and help build a high-performing team.

You will design and implement features in distributed back-end systems, own delivery end-to-end, and contribute to testing strategies across unit, integration, and performance. Strong Java, AWS, and cloud-native skills are required.

Qualifications

• BS in CS or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Deep experience with Java and distributed backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of features in distributed backend systems
• Ownership of the implementation and delivery of well-defined features from start to finish
• Implementation of unit tests via testing frameworks
• Define and craft integration tests with Test Engineering
• Solve performance and reliability issues at a global scale
• Triage and fix reported bugs
• Communicate estimates, schedules, issues, and dependencies to technical or project lead
