Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency's Next Generation Software Office, accelerating and modernizing the development, integration, and delivery of resilient and secure software systems.

The role emphasizes on-demand and cloud-based software for system-of-systems development, integration, and testing, including HWIL environments and API/ICD management, with opportunities for leadership and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in STEM required.
• 12+ years on missile defense or large DoD programs.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Experience designing software libraries and cloud-based architectures.
• Experience with API/ICD review and cloud/HWIL environments.
• Experience in AI development and tooling.
• Ability to work independently or lead teams with engineering rigor.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and deliver resilient and secure software.
• Provide technical and engineering analysis to support cloud-based software development and testing.
